This is the classic and Great Granddaddy of Role Playing games. It is the staple of most gamers. Whether you are new to Role Playing or a grizzled veteran, Dungeons and Dragons is likely in your library. If its not, it darn well should be !!
D and D has something for every one; newbie, wannabe, power gamer, serious role player, muchkin, or power gamer supreme. Its appeal is universal and is the best supported and loved game ever made.
Dungeons and Dragons had a face lift and subsequent ressurection in 2001 with D and D 3.0. Wizards of the Coast bought the venerable TSR and redid D and D with the new D20 rules. They added house rules that many players had always used, and made the game more intuitive and easier to play. In 2003 Wizards released D and D 3.5 and took some of the kinks out the new system. Overall, a huge increase in the enjoyment level for all role players.
